It's Famous - A Zine by Liana
"It's famous." What more of an argument do you need to try something? It is possible that fame lends itself to longevity, and longevity is born of repeat customers. In Taiwan many shops are quick to turnover. If there is a brand new coffee shop on the street corner one day, it will be a shoe store the next. The shops that stay in business have a certain "je ne sais quoi".
I will attempt to comprise a list of all the brands advertised to me as "famous with a brief description detailing why they are famous.
- Yi Fang Fruit Tea - I think once my friend realized that I live down the street from an Yi Fang Tea shop, she just blurted out that it is really famous. The way she said it made me feel compelled to try it out. It is good fruit tea, to be sure, but I honestly think the shop by my house is the only one in existence. I am not sure how they stay in business, but they still slide open their garage door every morning to serve fruit tea to the people.
